Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) is one of the pioneer faculties for undergraduate and graduate studies at Build Bright University (BBU) offering Associate, Bachelor and Master degrees in the fields of Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications and Network Technology. The faculty provides a supportive environment in which students develop their knowledge and skills and thus, helping them to reach their academic and professional goals. ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
- Associate’s degree students enter the job market by possessing basic foundational knowledge and skills needed to land an entry-level job through the university’s quality teaching service. The following are some examples of the positions that the graduates can find:
- Computer support specialist
- Computer programmer
- Web developer
- Bachelor’s degrees give students a more in-depth understanding of the technology, while exposing them to general education subjects to provide a well-rounded education. Graduates can potentially enter the following jobs after completing this degree.
- Technical writer
- Database administrator
- Network and computer systems administrator
- The Master of Information Technology’s program is a door opener for graduates or IT professionals who are looking to expand their expertise in the IT industry. Course work examines the organizational and technological issues involved in software engineering, enterprise information system, emerging network technologies, network processing, network programming, and security. The program will boost the career advancement prospects and provide a competitive advantage over recent graduates. The main objective of the program is to produce IT professionals, who will provide solutions in the workplace.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Professional Degree
- The applicant for Associate program and Bachelor program must have high school diploma or equivalent degree or a certificate certifying that he/she has not passed the high school examination.
- Must pass entrance exam controlled by MoYES and BBU’s committee
- Academic Degree
- The applicant for Bachelor program must have high school diploma or equivalent degree from a duly recognized school.
- Must pass entrance exam controlled by MoYES and BBU’s committee
- The applicant for Master program must:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in science and Information Technology or equivalent. OR a minimum two years of work experience in the areas related to information systems (web design, database, multimedia), communication systems (electronic broadcast system, mobile network, telephone system, information communication technology) and Software Engineering, etc (for applicants who do not have bachelor’s degree in Information Technology).
- A minimum GPA score of 2.5.
How to Apply
Build Bright University receives walk-in application from the applicant or his/her relatives/friends at any of the campuses of the university, and new students can register in the programs during the promotion time-period of the university. The prospective students must:
- Have transcript from any school/university/institution which is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
- Fill in admission form, specifying the program, faculty, major, etc. with signature and three copies 4 *6 cm. photographs
- Submit the application form and documents for admission along with payment of requisite tuition fee.
