Background

Background of Faculty

Faculty of Management and Law was founded in 2000 under the sub-decree 45 ANK.BK dated 25th July 2000; it launch its first commencement on English programme in 2001. Based on this critical success, FML transformed into Build Bright University consisting of several faculties among which Faculty of Educational Science and Languages was founded under the sub-decree 58 ANK.BK dated 17th June 2002.

Having existed for nearly 11 years, our faculty is famous for its TEFL programme (BA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language). In addition to TEFL programme, having done the market research, we designed and launched several new programmes including BA in Translation and Interpretation English-Khmer-English, and BA in English for International Business. Also, at the meantime, two new prospective programmes have been introduced – B.Ed in Educational Planning and Administration, and BA in Journalism and Mass Communications.

To ensure that all the graduates can achieve their preferred career goals, we are committed to offer the programmes which fit to the labour market demand. In addition, the excellence in teaching and learning cannot be separated from the committed, qualified administrative and teaching staff. Our large pool of both local and native teaching staff are highly qualified and full of experience in their discipline of "Education" and "English Language".

Regarding the learning outcome, more than 80 percent of the graduates have got jobs, and about 60 percent of the existing students have got jobs, especially for those in year 3 and above. This is a clear evidence that pursing the study in Faculty of Educational Science and Languages offers the students great career opportunities.
